Terms of Use

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using CareArdent websites, applications, or related services (the "Services"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services. If you accept on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation.

Description of service

CareArdent is a compliance readiness platform for domiciliary care businesses. It is designed to help you organise evidence, workflows, and readiness activities. The Services do not replace your professional judgement, statutory duties, or obligations towards regulators or service users.

User responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when you contact us or register;
  • Keep account credentials secure and notify us of suspected misuse;
  • Use the Services only for lawful purposes and in line with applicable healthcare, employment, and data protection law;
  • Not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Services or third-party systems;
  • Maintain your own records where required for your regulated activities.

No clinical or legal advice

The Services and any content we provide are for general information and operational support only. Nothing on the platform constitutes clinical, legal, regulatory, or professional advice. You remain solely responsible for compliance with CQC, RQIA, HIQA, and all other applicable regulators and laws. Always obtain advice from qualified professionals where appropriate.

Intellectual property

All rights in the Services, including software, branding, and documentation we provide, belong to CareArdent and its licensors. Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services for your internal business purposes during any subscription or trial. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works except as expressly permitted.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Subject to that, CareArdent is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising from the Services is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or £100 if no fees applied), except where prohibited by law.

Service availability

We aim to keep the Services available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, upgrades, third-party outages, or events outside our control may cause downtime. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date on this page will change when we do. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, except where the law requires a different process.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections elsewhere.
